My starting point was to broaden both my practice and the space for the objects I produce, through my background as a potter. With a ceramic object of everyday use that has a social load and a clear function in relation to people, I study spatiality and architectonic structures in various environments.
The repetitive aspects of everyday chores, the repetitive aspects in the work of a potter, the resistance to doing the same thing – and yet, the urge to see how many I can produce, where my goal has been to place the objects in an installation they all can be part of and climb up the walls. Life fascinates me with how everything is built up of small, small parts that together create the tangible and the intangible.
Min utgångspunkt har varit att genom den bakgrund jag har som krukmakare vidga såväl min praktik som rummet för de föremål som jag producerar. Med ett keramiskt bruksföremål som har en social laddning och en tydlig funktion i relation till människan utforskar jag rumslighet och arkitektoniska strukturer i olika miljöer.
Det repetitiva i vardagens sysslor, det repetitiva i arbetet som krukmakare, motståndet mot att göra lika – och ändå, drivkraften att se hur många jag kan producera, när mitt mål har varit att placera föremålen i en installation där de alla tillsammans får vara med och klättra uppåt väggarna. Livet fascinerar mig genom hur allting är uppbyggt av små, små delar som tillsammans skapar det gripbara och ogripbara.
