Every day, we inhale approximately 25,000 litres of air; without it, we’d survive for only a few minutes. Air is the most important element for us and a precondition for all life on earth. The atmospheric environment we find ourselves in contains quadrillions of microparticles that we inhale daily and which are stored in the fatty tissues of the body. Many problems at home or at work can today be linked to poor air quality. Good ventilation in residences create the conditions for good, safe living and working conditions.
My degree project intends to develop a conceptual solution for a ventilation unit, based on the product assortment of my collaboration partner. InventiAir is developing a revolutionary technology for office space ventilation. The technology involves drawing ventilation air down to the area where people live or work and then combining it with the natural thermals from heat sources and machinery. The technology makes a product for the visible office space that can combine with the rest of the interior and that can interact with the users possible. The ventilation industry is currently asleep; in my degree project it will wake back up!
Varje dag inandas vi ca 25 000 liter luft och utan luft klarar vi oss endast några få minuter. Luften är vårt viktigaste element och en förutsättning för allt liv på jorden. Den luftmiljö vi befinner oss i innehåller biljarder mikropartiklar som vi dagligen andas in och som lagras i kroppens fettvävnad. Många problem i hemmet eller på arbetsplatsen kan idag härledas till dålig luft. En bra ventilation på vistelseplatsen skapar förutsättningar för goda och trygga levnads- och arbetsförhållanden.
Mitt examensarbete avser att ta fram en konceptlösning för en ventilationsenhet med utgångspunkt i min samarbetspartners produktsortiment. Företaget InventiAir utvecklar en revolutionerande teknik för ventilation till kontorsutrymmen. Tekniken innebär att ventilationsluften förs ned till människornas vistelsezon och därvid samverkar med den naturliga termiken kring värmekällor och maskiner. Tekniken möjliggör en produkt för den synliga kontorsmiljön som kan samverka med den övriga interiören och interagera med brukarna. Ventilationsbranschen är i dagsläget sovande. I mitt examensarbete ska den väckas till liv!
